Please please help.. Its about steel. I’m so confused……?

Ok so on the left there is the name of a material that is made from iron. On the right are objects made from the materials on the left.
You have to match up the object to the material it is made from.

Cast Iron___________________ Ornate wrought iron gate
Wrought iron________________ Steel hammer
Low carbon steel_____________ Car body
Medium carbon steel__________Razor blade
High carbon steel_____________Drain cover

Please explain HOW you got your answers

what didi you know about High Carbon Steels?

Plain-Carbon

Although called plane carbon actually the iron and carbon alloy contains manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. Its strength is primarily a function of its carbon content, increasing with carbon amount. The ductility of plain carbon steels decreases as the carbon content increases. Some disadvantages of plain carbon steel are asfollows:

Disadvantages of Plain Carbon

_ The hardenability is low.

High Carbon Steels

over 0.8% carbon and less than 2.11% carbon

Disadvantages

_ Toughness and formability and hardenability are quite low.

Has anyone read a book about a city that is held up in the air by steel pulleys and chains, which are slipping?

I read it about a year ago; got it in a science-fiction bookstore, and wish I had not tossed it. It was a thin book in which a young man has all sorts of adventures in this weird world ( of course) and I think there are flying metal ships.Houses and people were slipping off into the void. Someone ( a blacksmith-metal worker?) had prepared lethal poison, and also towards the end the man and girl escape down to a secret chamber. Hope this is enough info. to jog someones memory. I kept thinking that its MYST, but not sure that is right. It is probably also a video game. Would love to get hold of it again because it really held my attention and would make a great movie!
It is an awesome read—just IMAGINE a city being held in the air by chains that must be constantly and noisily maintained by metal smiths. I think the air ships or whatever are in the air to maintain all the steel. And I got the impression that the city’s homes were kind of English cottage style. Don’t ask me what the people ate. Please check with some of your “literati” friends on line and I will check SF websites.

Whoops published x 2. QA is kind of messed up recently. Since the houses in the story are wooden I think they are always burning up as well as falling off the edge of space. Along with the men, women, and kids of course,

how can I manufacture low carbon steel E 6013 welding electrodes- I need to know about formula and conditions?

I do need to manufacture stick welding electrodes of specifications AWS E 6013 and 7018-1. I need to know an idea about the formulation and conditions associated with the fabrication process. Best results are required and reqwards could be allowed upon success.

What do you think about folding ladders? Like Little Giant and others.?

I am thinking about buying one of these because I use ladders a lot on the job. Are they legit or are they something that professionals laugh at? Are they safe? What is the down side to them?

Can anyone please tell me where I can go to find info out about my blacksmith anvil if I have a serial number?
